Dancers – Black Box Dance Company

Black Box Dance Company's dancers are:

Manuel, Lionel, Bartek, Emmy, Marco, Zaneta, Isabella og Charley.

Zaneta Majcher

Zaneta is from Poland. She graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds in 2013. Afterwards she had an apprenticeship at Skaanes Dansteater in Sweden. Has recently worked with the choreographer Billy Cowie. Started at Black Box Dance Company in February 2015.

Lionel Ah-Sou

Lionel is from France. He started studying dance at Ecole de Danse TERPSICHORE in Toulouse, which he finished in 2010. Afterwards he studied at Olivier Coste School of Dance in Valence, France. Since 2012 he has worked at the company Dantzaz in San Sebastian, Spain. Started at Black Box Dance Company in 2014.

Charlotte Anne Logan ( Charley)

Charley is from England. She started her dance education from a young age at the Swindon Youth Dance Academy - Centre for Advanced Training. She graduated from The London Contemporary Dance School with a BA (Hons) Degree in 2015. During her training she was able to work closely and perform works by British choreographer Richard Alston. She then moved to Copenhagen where she recently worked as an apprentice with Danish Dance Theatre. She started to work with Black Box Dance Company in 2016.

Marco Rizzi

Marco is from Italy. He has a background of seven years in ballroom dance where he has been a winner of several national and international championships. In 2009 he started his dance education and took part in the junior company Giovane Balletto Mediterraneo performing works of Mauro de Candia. He graduated with a Bachelor in Dance from the University of Arts Codarts, Rotterdam in 2015. During his education he performed pieces by Jiri Kylian, Nacho Duato, Regina van Berkel, Club Guy&Roni, Jan Martens and Samir Calixto. For the season 2014/15 he was working as an apprentice for the Tanz Luzerner Theater, performing pieces by Fernando Melo, La Fura dels Baus, Sandra Marin Garcia and Zoran Markovic. Started at Black Box Dance Company in 2016.

Bartosz Woszczynski ( Bartek)

Bartek is from Poland. He graduated from The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London. Since then he has worked on various projects with many choreographers in the UK, Canada and Poland as well as on a number of dance film productions. For many years he has been dancing and touring with Alternatywny Teatr Tanca ‚LUZ’. In 2013 he received the first prize at the Solo Dance Contest in Gdansk with his solo – “The Perfect World”, which he also toured in Poland, Bulgaria and Japan with. Started at Black Box Dance Company in 2016.

Manuel Gaubatz

Manuel Gaubatz has visited the school for acting in Freiburg (Germany) and is graduating his bachelor in 2016 for Ballett and Contemporary Dance at the school for music and performing arts in Frankfurt. He worked with Ivan Perez Aviles, Marc Spradling, Georg Reischl, Marguerite Donlon, Toula Limnaios and for the Opera Frankfurt. He started working at Black Box Dance Company in 2016.

Isabella Harritz Sørensen

Isabella is from Denmark, and is an intern in the dance company.
In 2014 Isabella completed an education at Official School of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York. She has recently participated in the show "Projects" In the Netherlands, "In The Void, Park Ave" in New York as well as in "Why am I not perfect" choreographed by Lukas Hartvig-Moller. She started working at Black Box Dance Company in 2016.

Emmy Louise Thomsen

Emmy is from Denmark, and is an intern in the dance company.
In 2012 Emmy completed her one-year dance training from Stepz in Copenhagen. Afterwards she moved to Munich to study modern dance at Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance. During her training, she has worked with several prominent European choreographers; f.ex. Jan Kodet, Jochen Heckman, Katja Wacther and the new artistic director of the National Dance Company Wales, Caroline Finn. She started working at Black Box Dance Company in 2016.
